The senior investment and commercial banking professional apprenticeship is dedicated to commercial or business banking, investment management, investment consulting, investment banking and investment operations, enabling you to become a senior professional in one of these areas of financial services. You’ll develop into a professional capable of working at a strategic level, with significant levels of responsibility. With this seniority comes a requirement to exhibit a high-level of knowledge and technical skills, so you’ll undertake one of several options that will develop you into a specialist in one of the apprenticeship’s business area focuses. For example, undertaking the commercial or business banking option will see you providing relationship management to corporate clients and customers, which involves assessing their financial performance and proactively matching banking products and services to their needs.
Duration: 18 months
Relevant school subjects: Maths and business studies
Entry requirements for the senior investment and commercial banking professional apprenticeship: Completed a lower level apprenticeship or job role, or will be a graduate
Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a master’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £44,000 per annum
