
A leader who has senior management responsibility
A senior leader has management responsibility within a public or private organisation, likely at the governance or director level. During the senior leader apprenticeship you’ll already be in or be working toward this role, which can include C-suite executive positions and senior military roles. This apprenticeship will prepare you to take responsibility for direction and vision, providing a clear sense of purpose and driving strategic intent. You’ll learn to take into account market trends and environmental influences, identifying longer-term opportunities and risks. Through your understanding of inclusive leadership, you’ll be able to take responsibility for developing ethical, innovative and supportive cultures with the ability to deliver results. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you’ll achieve a master’s degree in management.
Duration: 24 months
Relevant school subjects: Business studies
Entry requirements for the senior leader apprenticeship: Previous management experience, having undertaken an apprenticeship or qualifications
Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Degree)—equivalent to a master’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £50,000 per annum
