Progress legal matters and transactions with a solicitor apprenticeship
A solicitor is a respected profession that is integral to modern business, access to justice and resolution of contentious and non-contentious matters. You could spend your solicitor apprenticeship in any number of sectors, from private law firms to government bodies. During the solicitor apprenticeship, you’ll learn everything there is to know about offering legal guidance, on matters ranging from property transactions to criminal defense. Day-to-day, you’ll engage with a wide variety of people, such as clients, government agencies, and courts. Whether you’re help to make a business transaction happen, or in the middle of a contentious dispute, you’ll play a key role in upholding justice and the law. On completion of the solicitor apprenticeship, you’ll be able to act ethically, with professionalism and judgement; progress legal matters and transactions; apply legal knowledge and commercial judgement to produce solutions that meet clients’ needs and address their commercial or personal circumstances; deploy the full range of legal skills; and manage yourself and your own work effectively.
Duration: 60 months
Relevant school subjects: Business studies and English
Entry requirements for the solicitor apprenticeship: Five GCSEs, including maths and English, and three A-levels; and/or relevant employer-led work experience, or a level 3 advanced or level 4 higher apprenticeship in a relevant occupation
Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a master’s degree
Potential salary upon completion: £35,000 per annum
