
Create, implement and adapt holistic and wellbeing experiences
This occupation is becoming more in demand with increasing importance on people’s wellbeing and lifestyle. You could be employed in the following environments; spa, leisure, holistic centres, beauty salons, or even within healthcare centres or for businesses that want to implement corporate responsibility. During the wellbeing and holistic therapist apprenticeship you’ll complete treatments and wellbeing experiences using holistic therapy principles, theories and applications to calm or stimulate the sensory perceptions of the body and mind. Treatments could include aromatherapy, acupressure, Indian head massage and lymphatic drainage. You could be working individually or as part of a team, reporting to a lead practitioner.
Duration: 20 months
Relevant school subjects: Biology
Entry requirements for the wellbeing and holistic therapist apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £21,000
