About our Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme 

Our Solicitior Apprenticeship is a structured six-year programme designed to help you reach your full potential. Through our programme, you can gain ‘hands-on’ experience and study at the same time to qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales. 

During the programme, you will move across a variety of ‘seats’ (also known as groups) in our firm, including a mix of business services seats and legal seats, to help you develop into a well-rounded legal professional. The first eighteen months of the programme focuses on gaining a deeper understanding of how law firms operate by spending time in our Marketing and Business Development team, our Global Research and Resources team, and our Risk, Compliance and Conflicts team. Halfway through the second year, you will move into your first legal seat, followed by another legal seat of one year, and then, finally, before you merge on to our Training Contract programme, an international secondment of six months in one of our global offices.  

At the end of the six-year programme, you will qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales and have the chance to apply for a permanent legal role in the firm.  

We look for Solicitor Apprentices who are interested in a career in commercial law in an international law firm, who are pragmatic, motivated to work hard, to make the most of their studies and who are eager to learn from every opportunity. 

We also look for those who have an interest in our industry sectors, but you don’t need any technical knowledge of our sectors – we can teach you that.
