When she isn’t travelling to new places or trying new recipes in the kitchen, 24-year-old Laura Bradford is learning to lead teams while working towards an applied management qualification through the Lloyds Banking Group apprenticeship scheme
Meeting new people all the time
“My passion for travel has a lot in common with what I enjoy in the workplace. The apprenticeship scheme enables me to talk to lots of different people about their roles, and I love seeing how people approach tasks. Through them I identify ways I can improve my own work style.”
Being confident in new environments
“I started at Lloyds Banking Group straight out of school but I knew early on that I wanted to build a career here. My apprenticeship has opened opportunities for me and given me the confidence to lead teams and projects across lots of different departments.”
Bringing learning back home
“I love the fact that I can study something new and then immediately embed it in my role at work, whether it’s learning to prioritise effectively or work more collaboratively. It ultimately provides the most value—not only to me but to my team as well.”
