Donnell Muzembe, 18, has just finished the first month of his apprenticeship within a Leeds estate agent
Donnell’s role at Bridgfords estate agents in Leeds has already seen him take on a range of responsibilities, including: liaising with landlords and tenants, managing properties, arranging viewings and conducting general customer service.
When asked why he chose the apprenticeship route, Donnell said: “The main reason was because I wanted to start working full-time, but I also wanted an education while doing so. An apprenticeship gives work experience as well as pay—there’s many benefits of taking an apprenticeship, and it’s a great alternative route to university.”
He continued: “It all boils down to what you want—but you have to make a decision and, when you make a decision, stick with it, and hopefully big things will come from it. I’m confident that I’ve made the right choice in choosing both an apprenticeship and Bridgfords—it’s been great so far.”
Donnell had a keen interest in the property market, and chose an apprenticeship instead of going to university as he felt that was the more proactive path to take.
Positive Outcomes, one of the UK’s leading specialists in work-based training and apprenticeships, helped prepare Donnell by proposing placements and then preparing him for the interview process.
