Hannah Mills is a service technician apprentice at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
Hannah has pursued her dream to work in the automotive industry with great success. She has overcome numerous obstacles to prove that she is the best person for the job. When Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) offered her an apprenticeship, she was delighted to join the team as she has a passion for VW vehicles.
Her achievements were celebrated when she was awarded VWCV Service Technician Apprentice of the Year 2015 and has also been chosen to participate in a photography exhibition to promote women working in a ‘man’s world’.
Both her trainers and employer are delighted with Hannah’s progress through her apprenticeship programme and have praised her drive, commitment and ability.
Hannah said: “I have always wanted to be a mechanic/vehicle technician from an early age. I discussed my ambition to be a well-trained and qualified mechanic/vehicle technician with my parents and we agreed that the best route was to try and secure an apprenticeship. I hope that my apprenticeship success will lead me on to other interesting and exciting opportunities.”
