Equine Groom Apprenticeship - Backing / Pre Train / Rehab Yard - Marlborough

• Claire and her team at East Leaze farm are looking for 2 apprentices to join the team, this is a large fast paced yard with upto 60 horses in at anytime.
• East Leaze is a backing and pre train yard for flat and jump racehorses, they also offer rehabilitation for injured thoroughbreds.

All general yard duties :

• Mucking out
• Turning in and out and horse walker
• Filling haynets/ water buckets
• Making feeds
• Grooming / picking out feet
• Tacking up
• Helping with groundwork for youngsters
• Riding available for right candidate

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach

Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required

• No accommodation is available with this position, buses and trains go to Swindon but not to yard, please make sure you can get to the yard daily for a 7.30am start before applying
• No livery for own horse.
• Hours flexible to be discussed with employer, will be over 5 days to include some weekend work.
• Although this would be a Non-Ridden Apprenticeship there is riding available for the right candidate.
