Ensure the safe, efficient and effective check-in, boarding, departure and arrival of people
Working in a range of environments, such as a commercial airport, military base, Royal Navy aircraft carrier, heliport or other airfield, you’ll ensure the safe check-in, boarding, departure and arrival of people and any accompanying goods. During the aviation customer service operative apprenticeship, you’ll work in a highly regulated environment and in very organised teams, often to tight schedules. Day-to-day duties will include providing help and support during the check-in process, greeting passengers, handling VIPs and provide for any special passenger assistance. You’ll also need to handle any disruption or complaints that may occur, staying vigilant of security risks at all times, with a responsibility to identify potentially dangerous goods or security alerts. You’ll have good communication skills and work well as a team.
