Support and improve administrative services within an organisation
Business administrators are employed across all sectors and small and large organisations alike. During the business administrator apprenticeship you’ll work independently or as part of a team to develop, implement, maintain and improve administrative services. With a focus on adding value, your role will contribute to the efficiency of an organisation, supporting and working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you to develop a wide range of skills. You’ll be expected to deliver your responsibilities efficiently and with a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. You’ll also be expected to show initiative, the ability to manage priorities and your own time, problem-solving skills, decision making and the potential to mentor or coach others. Developing key skills could support your own progression towards management responsibilities.
Duration: 18 months
Relevant school subjects: Business studies and ICT
Entry requirements for the business administrator apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels
Potential salary upon completion: £23,000 per annum
