Construction site manager apprenticeship

Ensure that a construction project is completed safely and within the agreed timeframe and budget

As a construction site manager, you’ll help manage building construction projects, working on site and with occasional time in offices. Your main duties will include ensuring that safe systems of work are in place on site and that all staff and operatives adhere to those systems and safe standards of behaviour. During the construction site manager apprenticeship you’ll manage productivity so the project is completed on time and ensure that all activity on site adheres to contract and cost constraints. You’ll also need to consult with various stakeholders to make sure the project is completed to the specification and quality demanded by the client. Upon completion, you’ll achieve a BSc in construction management or an equivalent construction level 6 diploma.

 

Duration: 36 months

Relevant school subjects: Business studies, engineering and DT

Entry requirements for the construction site manager apprenticeship: Completion of the level 4 construction technician standard; technician status or the equivalent with the industry’s recognised professional bodies; HNC in construction or equivalent qualifications and commensurate industry experience

Achievement upon completion: Level 6 (Degree)—equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

Potential salary upon completion: £40,000
