Supervise specialist contractors and workers on construction projects
The main duties of a construction site supervisor within the construction project are to supervise specialist contractors; take control of health and safety issues; record, control and report on the progress of the project; help minimise the environmental impact; control the quality of work; and assist commercial staff with the monitoring of costs. During the construction site supervisor apprenticeship you’ll be mainly based on construction sites, with occasional time in the office. Other job titles could include assistant site manager and assistant supervisor.
Duration: 36 months
Relevant school subjects: DT, engineering
Entry requirements for the construction site supervisor apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely A-levels or equivalent qualifications or experience.
Achievement upon completion: Level 4 (Higher)—equivalent to a foundation degree
Potential salary upon completion: £30,000 per annum
