Express delivery sortation hub operative apprenticeship

Contribute to the successful processing of letters, parcels and packages, ready for delivery

Working in the logistics sector, you’ll help enable the rapid distribution of letters, parcels and packages in transit to and from postal services. The work is highly organised and often uses the latest technology to process millions of items each day. In your daily work, you’ll be responsible for completing your own work to specification, with minimal supervision, ensuring you meet the set deadlines in accordance with health and safety considerations. You’ll receive, assess and sort goods by destination before they are collected for final delivery. During the express delivery sortation hub operative apprenticeship you’ll work in teams where everyone has a specialist task, and will be based at a fixed site, working in shift patterns, often including some unsociable hours.
