Give clients specialist advice on how to manage their money
During the financial adviser apprenticeship, you may be employed in a large company, such as a bank, or within a small specialist advisory business. You’ll build long-term relationships with clients, researching the marketplace and recommending the most appropriate products and services available. You may specialise in particular products, such as selling employee pension schemes to companies or offering mortgage, pension or investment advice to private clients. Financial advisers operate in a highly regulated environment, so you’ll work toward achieving professional qualifications and will be able to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and adhere to a code of ethics. The financial adviser apprenticeship can act as a progression opportunity for those in other roles such as financial services administrator, mortgage adviser or paraplanner. Progression beyond this apprenticeship could lead to a job as a chartered financial planner, manager or business owner.
