Ensure learning and development contributes to improved performance in the workplace
An agent for change, as a learning and development consultant business partner, you’ll help to improve performance in the workplace, at an individual, team and organisational level. A specialist role combining business influence with learning and development, the consultant or business partner usually sits alongside HR, influencing key stakeholders, making decisions and recommendations on what the business can or should do in learning and development, but aligned with the strategic commercial ambitions and objectives of the business. During the learning and development consultant business partner apprenticeship, you’ll likely develop expertise in a specific field, whether it be technical, vocational or behavioural. Your role can be generalist or specialist, so your focus and in-depth expertise could develop in a specific area, such as organisation development, digital/blended learning, resourcing, or talent management. Whichever area of focus you choose, this apprenticeship will give you a good grounding in all areas of learning and development.
