As a senior healthcare support worker apprentice, your mission is clear: to help registered healthcare professionals, offering compassionate care and support to patients across various settings, from hospitals to homes. Depending on your chosen pathway, you’ll be helping adults, new mothers, surgical patients, people with mental health concerns, children, or people who need therapeutic exercises to cope with a change in life circumstances. During a senior healthcare support worker apprenticeship, your daily tasks will vary, from administering treatments to providing emotional comfort and ensuring patient safety. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with diverse healthcare teams, social care staff, and non-clinical colleagues to deliver seamless care.
