Megan Glaholm joined DHL on the chartered business manager degree apprenticeship scheme
Megan, 18, joined the business in August 2018 and was part of DHL’s first cohort to undertake a degree-level apprenticeship to become a chartered business manager.
Over the next few years, Megan has the opportunity to study for her degree while earning at the same time. Alongside studying towards a degree, she will also undertake a variety of placements across DHL’s warehouse and transport operations, giving her the opportunity to gain real life experience.
Megan said: “The scheme offered me everything I was looking for—degree-level study combined with a challenging job that enables me to use the skills I have learnt so far and build on them.”
This isn’t the first experience that Megan has had with the company. When she was in year 10, she enrolled onto the DHL Outward Bound programme, taking part in the residential and employability workshops.
Megan said: “Through that, I learned about the vital role that DHL plays in everyday life and I wanted to be part of the team. So when a degree-level apprenticeship became available, I jumped at the chance.”
