A bid and proposal professional is integral to how businesses win work. As a key part of the sales and business development function, you’ll work across various teams to bring together compelling, customer-focused proposals and tender submissions to win business. As an apprentice, you’ll develop commercial capability, vital to businesses and valued across all business sectors. During the bid and proposal coordinator apprenticeship you’ll carry out a range of tasks, including organising meetings, structuring and writing proposal content, coordinating relevant activities, and document management. This role extends to a range of related commercial activities, such as sector analysis, trend analysis, engaging in contract law, and developing strategies to win business for a variety of goods and services. This apprenticeship will provide you with many transferable skills that lend themselves to a variety of careers, including roles in procurement, sales, business development, project management and many more.

 

Duration: 24 months

Relevant school subjects: Business studies, English

Entry requirements for the bid and proposal coordinator apprenticeship: Depend on employer, but likely GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience

Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced)—equivalent to A-levels

Potential salary upon completion: £33,000 per annum
