Work with organisations to improve their information systems

Business analysts exist in almost every sector, it’s a fast paced and collaborative role, as you aim to understand the needs of stakeholders and how these can be met through business change and digital solutions. You’ll understand the needs of the business, document problems and help deliver digital change successfully. With a good knowledge of digital technology, during the business analyst apprenticeship you’ll help businesses improve in relation to its people, processes and IT. By analysing, documenting and managing requirements within IT you’ll provide successful business outcomes through new processes, data or technology. You’ll be a good communicator and may need to lead workshops, conduct interviews and use other techniques to understand the user needs before offering opportunities for improvement.

 

Duration: 18 months

Relevant school subjects: ICT

Entry requirements for the business analyst apprenticeship: A-levels, a level 3 apprenticeship or other relevant qualifications and experience, particularly where strong ICT skills are demonstrated

Achievement upon completion: Level 4 (Higher)—equivalent to a foundation degree

Potential salary upon completion: £30,000 per annum
