Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement

As a Recruiter Apprentice, you’ll master the end‑to‑end recruitment process—from sourcing applicants to placing candidates and managing client relationships. You’ll learn to balance candidate care with meeting business targets, handling tasks such as screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and conducting onboarding.

During your apprenticeship, you’ll develop skills in candidate attraction (through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals), client relationship management, and stakeholder communication. You’ll gain hands-on experience using recruitment systems (ATS/CRM), interpreting employment regulations, and applying ethical standards in candidate selection.

You’ll be trained to contribute to sales and performance goals, delivering measurable business outcomes. Employer‑led training ensures you’re working with current recruitment practices, including use of AI, digital tools, and sustainability considerations.

Successful apprentices may progress to roles such as Recruitment Consultant, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Senior Resourcer, or in‑house recruiter. This standard also aligns with professional recognition from bodies like the REC and BIR.

Duration: ~15 months (12–18 month on‑the‑job training + end‑point assessment)
Relevant school subjects: English, Maths, Business Studies, ICT
Entry requirements: A‑level or GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade 4/C or above); aged 18+; employer‑specific criteria
Achievement upon completion: Level 3 (Advanced) – equivalent to A‑level standard
Potential salary upon completion: £20,000–£30,000+ depending on employer and location
